Changelog
Every Flick release, newest first. The same notes appear in the app's update dialog.
Flick 1.1.2
October 7, 2026
- Long labels fit the wheel — a label that is too wide for its wedge now wraps onto a second line instead of being cut off at the edges. The item editor gives a quiet hint once a label passes 20 characters.
- Volume you can see — Set Volume now moves the system volume with the real volume keys, so the on-screen volume display counts up or down to the target. Volume Up and Volume Down take a step count (1–16) in the item editor, and the Media & Audio list is in a sensible order.
- A new About tab — Settings › About shows your version, a Check for Updates… button, and how to reach the Flick team. For a limited time it also offers free Flick Pro in exchange for your feedback: tell us what you put on your wheel and what annoyed you.
- Release notes, properly — the About tab's Release Notes link opens the new changelog page at getflick.dev, every release in one place.
- A softer edge under the wheel — the bottom of the wheel now fades gently into the screen, so the corner text sits more comfortably.
Updating from 1.1.1: your wheels and settings are untouched.

- Hide All Apps ends on a bare desktop — every time. Finder stays as the desktop with its windows tucked into the Dock; everything else hides in an order macOS can't undo. Show All Apps brings the apps back and restores the Finder windows Hide All put away.
- Toggle App brings back a minimized app — one flick now restores an app whose windows sit in the Dock, the same way clicking its Dock icon does. It still hides the app when it's in front, and launches it when it's not running.
- A cleaner License page — Settings › License now leads with Flick Pro and your status, puts the key and Activate on one row, and keeps the purchase, promo-code and Meet Flick Pro… links together at the bottom.
- Pick apps, don't type them — the App and Browser rows in the item editor show the app's icon and name with a Choose… button. The bundle-ID text field is gone.
Updating from 1.1.0: your wheels and settings are untouched.

- Drag to rearrange your wheel — in Settings › Menus, drag a wedge onto another to swap them, and drag the small menu tiles to move a menu to a different slot.
- Two more ways to cancel — a middle click, or a two-finger swipe down on the trackpad, now dismisses the wheel. Both are on by default and have their own switches in Settings › General › Cancel.
- The free trial asks first — starting the 30-day trial now shows the end date and waits for your confirmation. The wheel marks a running trial as Trial, and the machined Pro plate appears only once you activate.
- Promo codes, in the open — type a code in Settings › License and check out with it applied. The same box is on the pricing page at getflick.dev.
- Your key comes back to the app — after buying Pro, the confirmation page offers an Activate in Flick button that opens Settings › License with your key filled in. You still press Activate yourself.
- A nickname for your Mac — activating now suggests a neutral device label such as Meridian-7F3A, with a dice button to re-roll. Nothing about your Mac is read or sent, and the label stays visible on the License card afterwards.
- Small fixes — the Setup Guide's practice wheel works on a fresh install without a trial; the item editor refreshes its label and icon suggestions when you change an action's kind.
Updating from 1.0.1: your wheels and settings are untouched.
Flick 1.0.1

- Trial countdown on the wheel — in the last week of your free trial, a small note in the bottom-right corner tells you how many days are left. It stays out of the wheel's way.
- A quiet note when the trial ends — the first time you summon Flick afterwards, the same corner says your menus are saved and Pro unlocks them. It shows for a day, then goes away.
- Flick's name on the wheel — the icon and name now sit in the bottom-left corner, with a Pro plate beside it once you activate.
Updating from 1.0.0: your wheels and settings are untouched.
